Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

The short version: Repcho processes everything on your iPhone and Apple Watch. We have no servers that receive your workouts, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Audio is never recorded or sent anywhere.

Who we are

Repcho is made by Helpyk s. r. o., B. Bartoka 8/20, 979 01 Rimavská Sobota, Slovakia (“we”). For any privacy question write to hello@repcho.app.

What the app uses and why

Microphone and speaker

During a workout Repcho plays an inaudible ~20 kHz tone and listens to its echo to detect your movement and count repetitions. The signal is analysed in real time on the device. Speech and other sounds are not analysed, and no audio is recorded, stored or transmitted. The microphone is active only while a workout is running.

Motion sensors

Repcho reads the iPhone accelerometer during a workout to count jumps and to notice when the phone is picked up. On Apple Watch it reads wrist motion to count watch exercises. This data is processed on your devices and is not uploaded.

Apple Health

With your permission Repcho reads heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, active energy, height and body weight, and saves your Repcho workouts to Apple Health. We use this only to show your pulse and calories, a daily recovery check and calorie estimates inside the app. Health data stays on your devices; it is never used for advertising, never sold and never shared with third parties. You can change these permissions at any time in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → Repcho.

Apple Watch

If you use the Repcho watch app, your iPhone and watch exchange workout data (reps, heart rate, timers) directly with each other through Apple’s WatchConnectivity. Nothing passes through our servers.

Workout history and settings

Your sets, reps, times, plan progress, records, calorie estimates, daily goal, body data you enter and other preferences are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us. Your device backups (iCloud or computer) may include this data under Apple’s terms.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Repcho schedules reminders locally on your iPhone. No push notification server is involved.

What we don’t do

Data you choose to send us

If you email us, or use the share button to send us a sonar recording (numeric echo data from one set, without audio you could listen to), we receive what you send and use it only to answer you and to improve rep counting. We keep such messages and files no longer than needed for that purpose. The in-app option “Help us improve” is off by default and currently does not send anything.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple’s StoreKit on the device.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Processing on your device is done to provide the app you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Apple Health data is accessed only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in the Health app. Emails and files you send us are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in supporting you and improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly: delete it in Settings → Delete my data or by deleting the app. For anything you sent us, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability — write to hello@repcho.app. You can also complain to the Slovak data protection authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, dataprotection.gov.sk) or the authority in your country.

Children

Repcho is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date.
